nice rain

We got the rain yesterday. 2 1/2 in. just what we needed .
saw most of the quail I released near the house this morning.
saw the wood duck with the youngest brood but only 5 little ones there were12 last week.
At lunch time I saw the older brood - 4 little ones with her.
DEER: saw three bucks last night - two with really nice racks!
**Went to dinner: Harry's @ the Goldsborough House in Greensboro: tried the crab cake special ($5) - was excellent - also enjoyed a bowl of Maryland Crab Soup - the best!

Janey, the dog, is recovering from her torn ACL in RR leg nicely - is starting to put her foot on ground.

Dakota is enjoying the walks as the "only" dog on the walks.

checked the wetland this morning and saw two of the three broods of wood ducks.
the youngest set had 12, the other was down to 6. the older set i saw yesterday was down to 4.
