NICE 1/2 INCH

It rained yesterday evening, the food plots look better already.IMG_0054This is my corn and eagle soy beans. I've got a lot of small plots of these through out the farm. They were developed for wildlife plots.IMG_0059This is an acre of sun flowers. Hopefully the deer will let them grow till they flower. IMG_0060So far the deer have only ate a few.IMG_0051This is about 3 acres of eagle beans that reseeded themselves.Last year the snow may have helped by hiding the beans from the snow geese. The only expense I had this year was spraying with round up. IMG_0012The corn started to tassel this week.IMG_0009This is the small plot back at the old house that Ed and I planted.
Here are two nice bucks that I think I can give the green light on this season. PICT0230They only come out after dark. PICT0231Here's a close up of one of their racksPICT0227The antlers are still growing, hopefully the minerals are going to the racks.PICT0242Here's The Kia on the right-away to the old house plot.IMG_0062They harvested the wheat this week, so we got a new straw stack.IMG_0038Dakota took a good picture.PICT0016I'm adding some minerals here and the deer cam got me.Heres some picture from over the week end. Bonnie got some crabs and I cooked them with Rick's help.DSCN0163Dad is working on the garden.DSCN0173Abby always wants to wear my hat. DSCN0176Mark has help.DSCN0155

SOME ANTLERS

I've been getting pictures of bucks at the clover and duck blind spots.
So far there are five different ones.PICT0024Here's a picture of the bucks that show up most often.PICT0026I've got mineral holes
out and the deer are using them. PICT0013Both of these guys look nice. PICT0073They both have nice head gear. I moved the camera closer to the mineral hole for a better look. We had company over the weekend. The trail cam got us on a jitney ride. PICT0166They were down for the baptism of my new grandson Zachary Glen. IMG_1047We had a busy weekend, our niece, Josie, got married to Ben. IMG_0950Here's my mom and dad.IMG_1001I need to mow the clover and chicory but it's been so dry. The chicory blooms every morning. IMG_1031There are lots of bees in it.IMG_1035The quail have been calling really good. I hear eight calling some evenings.PICT0075More deer.PICT0053
